The workshop focuses on working with entry level dogs. Key topics include training philosopy/expectations, obedience foundation, bird/line manners, delivery to hand, and managing sounds and distractions. Discussion includes transition to home training and expectations for the first hunting or hunt test season. Attendees will leave understanding the critical importance of obedience for all retrieving tasks.

The following day, SBDA is holding a training day at Espanola for you to bring your dog and start practicing what you learned. Rob Cochran will lead this field exercise.
