Dog-O-Rama is an introduction to hunting over pointing dogs and retrievers. It is intended for anyone that has an interest in hunting with well-trained dogs but has not had an opportunity to actually get in the field and see the magic of a well-trained dog doing what it was born to do. Participants must have a Hunter Education Certificate.
Rob Cochran and Dan Hoke are paying tribute to the late Jack Dolan and his desire to introduce people to the world of bird hunting through his Hunter Safety course and a field day with the dogs and hunters of the Spokane Bird Dog Association. Jack was particularly interested in helping youngsters and women who traditionally have not had an easy time finding a mentor.
There will be a demonstration first showing what a pointing dog and retriever can do when trained to the highest levels. Then participants will take to the field with shotgun, mentor, dog and handler.
The Spokane Bird Dog Association is happy to provide this experience free of charge.
